During my time as Graphic Designer within the marketing department for the Hull College Group, I had the opportunity to engage in a diverse range of design tasks that significantly contributed to the college’s visibility and brand image. My responsibilities included creating a vast variety of promotional materials, such as leaflets, posters, signage, billboards, mailers, newspaper advertisements — there wasn’t much I didn’t turn my hand to! Alongside this, I undertook market research to inform the production of the three annual college prospectuses, one of the Group’s largest projects that required a good understanding of target demographics and marketing strategies. My role also extended to the digital realm, where I was tasked with designing marketing emails and developing landing webpages for short-term campaigns. This role not only greatly developed my design skills across multiple platforms but also widen my knowledge of both traditional and digital marketing, particularly within an educational setting.
